CVCA Announces Ottawa as Host City for the 2022 Annual Invest Canada Conference
Canada’s Capital Will Host Canada’s Private Capital Industry – May 25 – 27, 2022
Today, the Canadian Venture Capital and Private Equity Association (CVCA) announced Ottawa, Ontario as the host city for its 2022 annual conference which will take place May 25 – 27, 2022. The announcement was made by Kim Furlong, CVCA’s Chief Executive Officer at the close of CVCA’s Invest Canada ’21 conference.
Every year, the CVCA brings together the Canadian and international private capital community to its signature event, the Invest Canada conference: Invest Canada brings together over 600 the brightest minds and biggest names in the industry to foster business opportunities and provides an exclusive opportunity to connect and collaborate with industry leaders. The Invest Conference is the opportunity to come together and celebrate all that the industry has accomplished.
“The last time we brought the conference to Ottawa was in 2015 and the industry has changed substantially since then,” Furlong said. “We also haven’t gathered as a community in-person since the conference in Vancouver in Spring 2019. We are going to be looking to make next year’s conference one for the books — with insightful and inspirational content and of course interesting social activities for you to enjoy and to get reacquainted with your colleagues. The CVCA also announced the Invest Canada ’22 committee co-chairs Michelle McBane, Managing Director, StandUp Ventures, and Thomas Park, Partner, BDC Capital’s Deep Tech Venture Fund who are tasked to help shape the conference agenda with a mix of top-tier speakers, venture capital and private equity-focused content and of course Invest Canada’s notorious social activities.
